Blew up the Crate on his birthday

It's Sailor's 10 month birthday but that doesn't mean he was a good boy!  (He weighs 103.8 lbs too). That evening, Todd and I went to dinner for 2 hours and when we walked in the door, Sailor was standing there, all happy and waggy.
Uh Oh!
So, so did he get out of his crate?  Well, here's the proof - It was as if the crate blew up from the inside and there were feathers everywhere and a lamp and side table were knocked over.  He had ripped open some of my (of course) fav orange pillows as well.
Mia the cat had to go investigate too as she probably couldn't believe it either. . . It's not even as if we had left him home all day in his crate and he was bored, as he had been to day care.  Todd should have taken a photo of my face since my jaw hit the floor when I saw this.  We put the crate back together so we'll see how it goes next time cause he still can't be trusted in the house alone for obvious reasons!

All in the Family

Todd's mom Fran and his niece Jessica (who is 17) came from Maryland to visit last week.  It was great to see them and we had a lot of fun.  Of course, Sailor had to greet Todd and Jessica when they came back from kayaking. He also hung out with Fan on the beach.  He always has to be in on the action!

Reflecting

This is such an awesome photo of Sailor at the end of the dock all by himself.  He just seems to be reflecting on (his great) life like the rest of us do.

Visitors

Sailor loves greeting visitors who come by.  Sometimes they even come more to see him than us!  Here he is with Anita (look how big he is!) under the umbrella on our beach.   He is also being visited by Nic's friends, Kevin and Lisa from Charlotte.  Their daughter, Karis is the first one to ride Sailor!

Sailor loves Summer

Summer has been great for Sailor learning how to swim.  He loves this "extended" tennis ball on a rope and loves to run in the water and get it.  At first he would just go in up to his belly and not swim, but now he swims out to the dock.  He still won't go much further, but that's cool with Todd and I as we don't want him swimming out too far.  We love watching him run in and play.  It's so sweet!    He looks a little like the Loch Ness Monster too when he's in the wa
