FUN WHILE WE WERE GONE

Todd and I were on vacation for 2 weeks (on a Mediteranean cruise from Barcelona).  Sailor and Osa stayed at the Canine Club and Spa (their second home).  They sent this pic of Sailor in the pool.  Looks like he was having a pretty good time while we were gone!  Don't know where all his buddies are though as he looks a little like the lonely guy.  :)

SLEEPING

Sailor sleeps in some funny positions.  Love this "spread eagle" shot next to the door.  Awesome!

GETTING UP ON THE BED

This is how big Sailor is. he can basically "walk" up to the bed and get on. 

WESTMINSTER DOG SHOW-NYC

We went to the Westminster Dog Show in New York City which was Feb 16th and 17th, 2010.  We went for a few extra days too to get some fun and sightseeing in, as well as to eat at our fav NYC restaurant - Angelo's! YUM.  
Some of the photos above are past Best in Show winners:  Rufus, the Bull Terrier, JP the Bichon, Uno the beagle. 
We also met some great people from Texas - Debbie, Pat and Martha.  They were in our "club seats" with us (see photo below of Deb and I).  We also went "behind the scenes" to look at a lot of the dogs, especially the Newfies.  The black and white dog is Rocky the Landseer Newfie.  He didn't win, but was a cool dog.  He weighed about 175 lbs!  It was intersting watching all the people and not jsut the dogs.  A fun time!

PLAYING

While Todd and I were at the Westminster Dog show in New York City (Feb 16th and 17th, 2010), we left Sailor and Osa at the Canine Club.  They sent these 2 really cute pictures to us via email/text so we didn't miss them too much and so we could see they were having a good time.  Looks like it to me! 

AN AD WITH SAILOR

Sailor's famous!  The Canine Club and Spa where Sailor and Osa go for Day Care and overnights, put Sailor in their ad!  His spikey hair looks awesome!  The little Yorkie on the top is owner Karen's dog. 

GETTING SNIFFED

I think this photo of Sailor with these other dogs is so funny.  He just stands there with a grin on his face and his pink tongue hanging out in the "freeze" position as the other dogs sniff him.  He is pretty well adjusted to dog behavior and a good sport!

BRINDLED MASTIFF

At the dog park last weekend, we always seems to run across some interesting types of dogs.  We saw this Brindled Mastiff who was really cool looking as we had never seen that kind before.  She was very sweet as well and they had fun playing.

THE FAMILY DOG

Todd's brother's family (Brad, Cookie and Nieces Rachel and Natalie) have a cute Golden Doodle named Buddy.  These pictures of him with the girls are just adorable.  I always thought Buddy looks like the Abominable snowman (refer back to the early pics on my blog and you will see a funny picture of Buddy).  They live in Maryland, so we don't get to see them as often as we would like.  Since Buddy is in the "family", he deserves a spot on Sailor's blog.  

SNOW PLAY

No matter how cold out (in this case about 5 degrees!), the pups love to get out and play. Osa just kind of stands around and occasionally will try and walk off quickly, and Sailor will chase after his toy, then run away from me.
