DOGS IN THE SNOW

No matter how cold it is, the pups like to go outside and hang out in the snow and watch for animals and "invading humans" over the side of the deck.  Sailor was so little last year, his first winter - compared to  this year at 121.3 lbs!  Osa is still hanging in there - she just turned 15 years old - she's sure seen a lot of winters!  We definitely want her to be around to go on the boat this coming summer. 

Toilet Paper

At 15 months old, you'd think Sailor would be done messing with the toilet paper.  Just when I think it's safe to put it back on the roller instead of on the counter or on the back of the tank where he can't reach it, he does this. . .   It's funny cause he doesn't really chew it, he just grabs and runs!

Even though Sailor just turned 15 months (on Christmas Eve) he still can't resist tugging at a roll of toilet paper that was just put on the roller.  I thought he was past it, but uh, Not!

Christmas in Excelsior

Our friend Heather (Banbury) Sykora was in town from Denver where she lives now.  We decided to take Sailor to Excelsior and walk around for some Christmas cheer.  Sailor got just as much attention as the reindeer and giant nutcracker!

Reindeer Dog

We are going to try and teach Sailor to fly :).  We got this funny reindeer costume for him and he tolerated it well, even when we took him in and out of the car with it on.  Too cute! See why we love him!

THE FIRST MATE

Sailor is still getting used to being on the boat.  Although we put the boat away a few weeks ago, we took one last ride for the summer.  he always has to crown Osa out of the way and be at the very front.  He is so big, he makes the boat look very small.

SLEEPY IN PETCO

Sailor gets so excited to be in a pet store and then wears himself out. Shoppers can't believe that he's a puppy as he is so mellow. He just had a bath too so he has a cute green bandana on.

WALKING THE DOGS

When we go for walks, Sailor and Osa like to say hello to the collies, Lance and BiBi who live around the corner.  They are very sweet.  One is 4 and the other 11 (can't remember which is which) but both look young.  Kisses and nuzzles!

NEIGHBORS HOUSE BURNT

A week ago Tuesday, we were awakened by fire engines and police cars.  One of our neighbor's houses was burning due to a fire pit that wasn't quite out and started a  fire in their garage. They lost most of their home (abuot 75%) due to water and smoke damage.  Sailor and I took a walk by it and you could still smell the smoke in the air.  They had the really damaged part covered with a tarp and although a Lot of it looks okay from the outside, it is supposedly pretty FUBAR on the inside.   They are a nice family and they are all okay! 

PLAYING BY THE LAKE

Sailor and Duke love to play down by the lake.  We had some great weather over the weekend, so they had a good time.   Osa just kind of stands there but she doesn't really play much.  Nice looks cute in the midst of the dogs.
